James Burkett

James Burkett is a co-Founder and Managing Partner of Florin Digital, a global investment firm deploying at the intersection of finance and technology. Prior to Florin Digital, he was both an investor and executive in the digital asset space where he raised over $25 million and invested in over 30 early-stage businesses. Before joining the crypto space full-time, James led finance and strategy for several growth-stage fintech companies and raised nearly $100 million in funding from venture capitalists and growth equity investors. James began his career in investment banking at Sandler O’Neill + Partners, a firm exclusively catering to financial services clients. In his career, he has advised on over 50 transactions with an aggregate value exceeding $10 billion. James is a member of the board of directors of Blackdot, Inc. and an advisor to Asymmetry Finance and EdgeIn. He lives in Austin, Texas with his wife, daughter, and two labradoodles.
