Chenxi Wang
Professional Experience
Dr. Chenxi Wang is the Founder and General Partner of Rain Capital, a Silicon Valley-based venture fund that focuses on investing in innovative cybersecurity startups. With a background as a technologist, investor, and advocate for women in tech, Dr. Wang is a highly respected thought leader in her field. She has also held leadership roles at companies like Twistlock, Intel, and Forrester Research.
Dr. Wang began her career as a faculty member at Carnegie Mellon University, where she was a founding professor of CMU’s Cybersecurity Lab. She later served on the Board of Directors for MDU Resources, a public critical infrastructure company, and as Vice Chair of the OWASP Foundation’s global foundation board.
Dr. Wang is also a strong advocate for diversity in tech and cybersecurity. She was recognized by Fortune as one of the top cybersecurity investors globally and was named Women Investor of 2021 by the Cyber Risk Alliance.
