Jonathan Falcone

John is a senior technical advisor at Riverside Research, providing full-time support to the Defense Innovation Unit’s Maritime Portfolio. He previously served as a Surface Warfare Officer in the U.S. Navy and received the Alfred Thayer Mahan Literary Award from the Navy League of the United States for his written contributions to preserving American seapower. His research has been published in a variety of national security outlets, including the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists and War on the Rocks. John’s cybersecurity framework for unmanned surface vessels will be published as a chapter in the forthcoming Naval Institute Press volume entitled Cyber Warfare & Navies.
